Awakenings is a child-friendly nighttime show projected onto the tree’s trunk and canopy. Shown several times a night (when the park is open that late), Awakenings combines digital video projections with music and special effects. We’ve seen four different 3-minute shows; in each, special projection effects make it appear that some animals carved into the tree trunk have come alive. Other special effects happen in the leaves and branches. We rate Awakenings as not to be missed.
