Star Wars Launch Bay

Its final day of operation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
At a Glance

Launch Bay opened when the Studios needed more things for guests to do while new rides were being built; now it’s essentially a walk-through museum and commercial for the latest Star Wars content. There are a few interesting models here for the serious fan. In the past there were also the Launch Bay Cargo shop, three separate character greetings spots, and a short film summarizing the Star Wars franchise.

Three characters hold court, usually Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and BB-8. Waits in line for Chewie and Darth Vader usually run about 20–30 minutes.
