Service is friendly and unusually patient; someone’s briefed these young cast members on how an hour’s wait and low blood sugar can quickly erode a diner’s mood. A Main Street staple for decades, the Carnation Café serves up an American menu heavy with traditional favorites—hamburgers and fried chicken sandwiches, Mickey-shaped waffles, and fried chicken—in a parlor circa 1890.

The loaded baked potato soup (a hot, creamy concoction with Cheddar cheese, chives, and large chunks of baked potato) is a favorite.
